We travelled to Rosemount tonight to take on the home side in the U14 championship. We knew we had to put in a good shift with holidays and injuries.we started well and really moving the ball well early on.we got some brilliant points on the board and most of all we reduced the scores rosemount were taking with some wonderful defending.every defender knew his job and done it very well.we did get a run on rosemount when we hit the net twice in the first half and really working hard up front.we had alot more chances but with great saves and good defending from rosemount meant they were under the cuff from us.we knew we were going to hit a purple patch and we had to be ready for it.we knew the home side were getting there chances and they got a goal of there own right on the whistle at half time.half time was st.Marys 2 -06 - rosemount 1-02.The second half started very lively and both teams really went hammer and thongs for it.Rosemount had the aid of the breeze and were using this to there advantage but once again our defence was called apon on numerous occasions but we stood tall and worked as a unit.with scores hard to come by and both teams moving well it was st.Marys that had the legs and drove out time and time again and we hit the rosemount net to make sure of this away victory. A happy panel tonight with the final result st.Marys 3-08 - rosemount  2-06. Well done lads .keep it going.NAOMH mhuire abu. ............
